We believe real thought makes for the best writing. It’s in the original mind that unique stories, and more importantly, unique storytelling, are made possible.
The labor over every word and its placement is a perfectly human labor in the making of art. As such, we don’t publish works of AI. And should we be drawn to your writing and find ourselves in collaboration and contract, we’ll expect a clear and honest testament to human originality, from your work’s first frailty to its final polish. For our part, AI will not be used for developmental editing, narrative review, or other artistic and subjective assessments.
We do make use of artificial intelligence and machine learning for our project management and marketing, for our business operations and planning. The reason? We’re a small press with limited resources and we believe that some of these tools can lessen the barrier to entry for new art and artists.
